Annum Bicycles

The History

The history of Annum Bicycles spans three generations. The exclusive wooden bicycles originated in Cerkno, Slovenia. Thanks to its vast forest reserves, the region has a long tradition of woodworking.

In 1932, the grandfather of the current company owner, Erik Močnik, founded a carpentry workshop in Cerkno. His son, besides enjoying woodworking, developed a great passion for cycling. He passed these passions on to Erik, a former Slovenian top triathlete. Based on this extraordinary combination, Erik envisioned building a wooden bicycle.

He, along with his team, developed the first model through an intensive process with several prototypes, laying the foundation for today’s Annum Bicycles city bike. Meanwhile, the first model has been brought to market readiness, and a product family consisting of a city bike, a road bike, a mountain bike, and an e-bike has been developed. Each frame is carefully crafted with great craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Each bicycle is unique and reflects the beauty of the tree from which it was made.
